Run Aground

The little houseboat had long since run aground, stranded where the tide had quietly abandoned it. Its weathered wood had faded beneath years of unforgiving seasons, the rust along its hull speaking of battles with storms that no one else had witnessed. Once built to roam open waters, it now rested in silence, worn and forgotten, its strength hidden beneath the scars left by time.

There are moments in life when we, too, find ourselves much the same. The weight of disappointment can leave us feeling stranded, our confidence weathered and our spirit quietly worn away by battles no one else has seen. We begin to wonder if we'll ever move freely again. Yet, just like the old houseboat, there is still something enduring beneath the faded exterior. Though marked by every storm it has survived, it remains standing, proof that even after life's harshest seasons, there is still the possibility of finding calm waters once more.
