Silas the Scarecrow was a fine figure of a man. He'd watch over the town of Salem's harvest of corn whilst it grew. He'd watch over the grains whilst Nathaniel would watch over the town of Salem. Some would say that both the scarecrow and the statue would move around at night. Making sure that there was no witchcraft being cast. But it was only hear 'say. When you think about it, so was the accusations of witchcraft.
