The House by the River

I love the sound of waterways. I mean here in Scotland we call them burns, others may call them streams and some may call them creeks, either way they both flow into rivers. I am lucky where I live to actually see the opportunity for these to start up in the hills and trek down to follow them. The Birks of Aberfeldy are a wonder to behold, such an amazing walk.

Just being able to sit on a tree that's fallen over or a rock and listen to the noise of the river is so relaxing. No internet, no street lights, just be at one with nature.

Even in the dark the fireflies come out and light the way home.

This picture shows a small river where you can fish, dip your toes in the summer. Even have duck races with friends.....
