The Salem Witch Trials has long since been talked about. The hanging of "witches" something that I found interesting as a child growing up. We had woods at the back of where I lived and in it was a house that people had long forgotten about, we would dare each other to go in and take something from the house (old books and papers were strewn all over it). Our tale would tell of witches and if they were to catch you they would plump you out with overfeeding you and then they would boil you and then eat you.
During the Salem Witch Trials it was reported that little dolls (poppets) were made and these were thought to have some sort of witchcraft attached to them, something like voodoo dolls. It must have been a scary time for children growing up then. I remember reading somewhere later on in my years that these so-called "witches" were posthumously pardoned for any wrongdoing.
I guess even in this day and age. we judge people all too quickly without really knowing the truth about them.
